This tune is called: "The Mason's Apron" The tartan I am wearing in the picture is MacLeod of Lewis, or commonly known as dress MacLeod. There are several MacLeod tartans, two of which are pictured here. MacLeod of Lewis MacLeod of Harris I am a freelance bagpiper and play at weddings, funerals, and other special occasions, am the Police Piper for the Huntington Police Department's F.O.P. lodge. I am also a piper in the Beni Kedem Highlanders Pipes and Drums Band. Several of us Shriners having a love for Scottish music and being interested in Celtic heritage, formed this band about 6 years ago. We wear the MacBeth Tartan as pictured here. As far as genealogy goes, I research the following family names: Casey, Shannon, Mullins, Smith, Kelly, Lewis, Clark, Seaward, Cave, Nibert, Mays, and all forms and derivitive spellings thereof. I have lines back to 1645, 1700 etc. I have just finished and printed the Casey family book titled: Sinclair Casey, 1799, Mason Co., VA (WV). I am currently working on the Lewis & Clark book. Our Casey Clan reunion is held on the 2nd Sunday in August, at the Hurricane City Park, on State Route 34, at Hurricane, WV. Bring a covered dish and a beverage (non alcoholic).
